Election Day is on Tuesday, June 7, 2022.

How do you Register to Vote?

You can register to vote online at https://covr.sos.ca.gov.

You may also register to vote by filling out a physical register to vote application. Applications can be obtained by contacting the Sharona Nazarian for Beverly Hills City Council campaign, visiting Beverly Hills City Clerk Office and asking for one, or visiting your local Post Office and asking for an application.

How do I know if I am registered to vote?

Please visit https://www.lavote.net/vrstatus/ and fill out requested info to instantly check if you are registered at current address. If you are not please re-register to vote at current address, otherwise you will be unable to vote in the June 7, 2022 Beverly Hills City Council election.

How do I verify my list of family members and friends and check if they are registered to vote and at which address?

Please make sure to send your list of family members and friends legal names and with their addresses to the Sharona Nazarian for Beverly Hills City Council campaign. The campaign  will verify if the individuals on the list are registered to vote or not and their register to vote address.

Can I Register to Vote at a Business Address or P.O. Box?

You may only register to vote if you live at the address you are registering. If you live at the business you are registering at, it is legal to register at the address. But if you register to vote at your business address but live in another location, it is illegal to do so. Same for P.O. Box, you may not register to vote at at at P.O. Box because it is impossible to live inside a P.O. Box. You may use a P.O. Box as a mailing address but not as a primary residence.

Must I fill out a Vote By Mail application to receive a ballot on June 7, 2022?

In previous elections, registered voters needed to fill out a vote by mail application at each election if they wanted to vote by mail. For the June 7, 2022 election, the County of Los Angeles will automatically send a vote by mail ballot to every registered voter to their register to vote address. No need to fill out and submit a vote by mail application.

When will I receive a Vote By Mail ballot in my mailbox?

When do I have to mail my Vote By Mail ballot back? How do I return? Can I mail back? Do I need to pay for postage?

Please return ballot by mail or drop off at local drop box by Wednesday, June 1, 2022 to make sure vote is counted on election night. There are multiple options on how to return your ballot:

By mail, remember no postage is necessary

At any participating Vote by Mail Ballot Drop Box location

  • Drop Boxes are available to voters beginning 29 days before and on Election Day

  • Drop Boxes close at 8 PM on Election Day

  • Drop Boxes are bolted securely into cement or chained in place

  • Drop Boxes are designed with security features identified in state regulations

  • Drop Boxes have an exterior coating to reduce permanent graffiti or damage

  • Ballots are picked up regularly by two Election Workers

  • The County works with law enforcement agencies, cities, local stakeholders, and community-based organizations to monitor and safeguard all boxes

If your ballot is postmarked by Election Day and received within 7 days (EC, § 1605(d).) Los Angeles County Register-Recorder, they will process, verify and count that ballot.Can I Register to Vote at a Business Address or P.O. Box?

I mailed my ballot or dropped off at local voting center already, how do I track and make sure my ballot was received and will be counted?

Voters can confirm that their ballot was received and tallied through the Vote by Mail Status Tool at https://www.lavote.net/av_inquiry.

I mailed my ballot but I forgot to sign it, how do I remedy this issue?

If you returned your Vote by Mail ballot without signing the return envelope, the Los Angeles County Register-Recorder will mail you a document called the "Unsigned Ballot Statement" asking for your signature.

Your signature is required to verify your identity and process the ballot. Download the Unsigned Ballot Statement for at https://www.lavote.net/docs/rrcc/election-info/11022021_UBS.pdf and return it by 5 PM on June 10, 2022.

Can I still go to the polls to vote in person on June 7, 2022?

Even if you are mailed a ballot or ballot was lost, you may still vote in person at a local voting center in the City of Beverly Hills. Please locate a local voting center, bring your ballot that was received in the mail with you, hand ballot to voting center worker and inform them you want to vote in person. They will give you an in person ballot to fill out. If you lost your ballot, go to local voting center in Beverly Hills and inform them you lost your ballot or did not receive it in the mail, they will hand you a provisional ballot and will allow you to vote with no arguments. Your vote will be counted but they will first verify that the ballot that was mailed to you has not been submitted previously.

When can I obtain a Sharona Nazarian for Beverly Hills City Council yard sign and put up on my lawn?

Yard signs will be available March 15, 2022 through the Sharona Nazarian for Beverly Hills City Council campaign. City of Beverly Hills ordinance has strict guidelines when they will be able to be placed on lawns. Please check with the campaign for official date they may be displayed on your lawn.
