Mayor Nazarian’s Background

Dr. Sharona Nazarian is a proud immigrant, lifelong Beverly Hills resident of more than 30 years, and the current Mayor of Beverly Hills. With deep roots in the community, she is a dedicated public servant, accomplished community leader, and passionate philanthropic advocate who has spent her career giving back to the city that has given her so many opportunities.

Sharona’s commitment to Beverly Hills spans decades of civic involvement and leadership. As Mayor, she has made it her mission to prioritize public safety, listen closely to residents, and ensure that City Hall remains accessible, responsive, and accountable. She believes that strong local leadership begins with community engagement and works tirelessly to make sure residents’ voices are heard and reflected in city policy.

Previously, Dr. Nazarian served on the Beverly Hills Public Works Commission, where she focused on sustainability, infrastructure, and essential city services.
